With the 2010 Winter Olympics nearing to its final day, the remaining games are surely exciting. The game that was held last Thursday was certainly one of the most anticipated games of the Winter Olympics since they are known to be rivals when it comes to hockey.

Messiah, Iverson’s 4 years old daughter, is suffering from serious ailment that forced Iverson to file an indefinite live to his team. There are rumors that Messiah’s ailment is pneumonia, which is very dangerous particularly to a child.

He has missed a lot of his games because he has to attend to his daughter, who is about travel to Philadelphia to undergo a series of examination and treatment. There have been accidents that happened on a NHRA or National Hot Rod Association competitions. Some causes an injury to the racer but the most dangerous is it can sometimes result to the racers death. From August 31, 1996 through June 21, 2008, there are already 5 cases of racer’s death that has been recorded.

Scott Kalitta is the most recent victim of the dangerous NHRA race wherein he died because of a motor explosion. However, last February 21, 2010 during the first elimination round a horrifying accident has once again struck NHRA but this time it has lead to the death of one its spectator. Antron Brown was the racer involved on the accident but he did not suffer any serious injury. As the he was about to reach the finish line his left rear came out of his racecar and went to the viewers hitting a women spectator.

The woman who just want to enjoy the race was already proclaimed dead even before she was brought to the hospital.

The game that was supposed to be on their side ended with a heart breaking missed shots. They could have won the game but because of lack of team effort and focus on the game they miss a lot of shots especially during the final rounds. They even had the chance to tie the game on the last end but Debbie McCormack missed the shot.
United States is on top of the list of nations with most number of gathered medals in the Winter Olympics with the total of 17 medals. If the US women’s curling team won the match they have a better chance of bringing home medals for their nation.

The trade between Salmon and Francisco Elson of the Milwaukee Bucks will probably give the Chicago enough space on their salary cap. Both Thomas and Elson have a contract that will expire this year that means when the summer comes they will be able to achieve the amount that they want to save. Even though Lindsey Vonn was suffering from a leg injury she won the gold medal on the downhill event finishing the course without having any trouble going down the hill. She never show any discomfort as she was moving her way to the finish line. She has defeated her competitors wherein some of them fail to finish the course.

This is Vonn’s very first gold medal for the Winter Olympics though she has always been a participant of it since 2002. Her first taste of victory was when she won the silver medal on the 2003 Junior World Championship, which was held in Puy Saint-Vincent in France.

The U.S. Curling team was defeated during the first round of their game against Japan at a very small margin of points. Japan finished the game with the score of 9 points while U.S. only has 7 points. Included to the U.S. team was Nicole Joraanstad, who plays second position following Debbie McCormick.

Nicole has been part of the team for several years now and they already won a lot of championships. She is hoping that on the coming game against Germany they will play as one team and win it. She along with her teammates hopes to bring home the gold medal for the Curling event to give additional gold to the U.S. Winter Olympics team.

United States is currently on the number 4 position on the list of nations with the most gathered medals. They are behind Germany, who is presently in number 1 position, South Korea, and Switzerland.
