Admiral Ackbar, Ole Miss New Mascot?

The students of Ole Miss are very excited in campaigning for their new mascot. They even have their voting process on the popular social network sites twitter and facebook. The mascot that is on top of their list is the popular “Star Wars” character Admiral Ackbar.

Although the University of Mississippi has not announced it yet, it is most likely that they will end up having Ackbar as their new mascot replacing Colonel Reb. However, they have to deal the idea first with the creator of the character who is known to be protective to his creation. George Lucas is the creator of the all time favorite movie “Star Wars” and most of those who use his creation will have to ask for his permission first and will pay him certain amount.

Admiral Ackbar might be a perfect representative of Ole Miss Football team but they have to hold first the though until they arrange it first with George Lucas.
