An Injured Lindsey Vonn Wins Gold on Winter Olympics

Even though Lindsey Vonn was suffering from a leg injury she won the gold medal on the downhill event finishing the course without having any trouble going down the hill. She never show any discomfort as she was moving her way to the finish line. She has defeated her competitors wherein some of them fail to finish the course.

This is Vonn’s very first gold medal for the Winter Olympics though she has always been a participant of it since 2002. Her first taste of victory was when she won the silver medal on the 2003 Junior World Championship, which was held in Puy Saint-Vincent in France.

She will again be competing in two more events on February 18, 2010 Thursday, but this will depend if she is capable to compete. However, since Vonn is known for her competiveness even though she is already in pain, she might participate on Thursday’s event.
